Singita has supreme wildlife and safari experiences. A stay at Singita is about many things: exceptional game viewing, remarkable design and innovative food and wine - all combined with warm hospitality. Singita has safari lodges in two different areas around the Kruger Park. Singita Boulders, Ebony and Castleton are situated in Singita Private Game Reserve, in the Sabi Sand, adjacent to the Kruger Park. Singita Lebombo and Sweni are in a private concession within the Kruger Park itself. Singita Sweni is the most recent addition to Singita Lebombo, the second most recent addition to the Singita family. In 1925, James Fawcett Bailes acquired Castleton and Ravenscourt, two farms in the area between the Sabi and Sand Rivers as a Private Game Reserve. The Sabi Sand region was a remote corner of the pristine lowveld and a three-day intense drive away from the coast. It was only in 1994, when Apartheid was abolished and South Africa opened its doors to the rest of the world that the Bailes family decided that the time had come to open Singita, their piece of South Africa, to those who dared to venture into this beautiful and mysterious place.
