Come and discover the picturesque town of Barberton with it's history of Gold discoveries on the slopes of the beautiful Makhonjwa Mountains. Relax in the gentle serenity of the area, or thrill to the wild exuberance of the pioneering spirit as you explore on foot, by mountain-bike or 4x4. Barberton Mountain land is one of the oldest regions on our planet and the oldest rocks are found dating back as far as 3 500 000 000 BC. A Heritage site.

The accommodation consists of a luxury family bedroom with queen bed and a double bunker bed. With en-suite bathroom and DSTV. 

The other room has 2 single beds with en-suite bathroom and DSTV. These rooms has a private lounge/dining area with self catering facilities. 

There is also a one bedroom self catering cottage. 

Only a 40 minutes drive to the Kruger National Park, 50km from Swaziland and 220km from Maputo.

We are famous for our personalised hospitality, lovely garden and birds.

The Self Catering Cottage has 1 bedroom.  With Queen size bed, and a sleeper couch in the lounge.  DSTV, Radio, fully equipped kitchen. Braai, Patio (we supply wood and firelighters)

The B&B rooms consists of bar fridge, DSTV,  tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer and mosquito repellant. The splash pool keeps you cool on a hot summers day.

We offer day tours:

Package 1  -  Swazi Indlela takes you to Swaziland to see the Maguga Dam and Malolotja Nature Reserve.

Package 2  -  Cultural and Heritage will take you to the Samora Machel Monument, where his plane crashed and on our way back, a stop at the Matsamo Cultural Village for a traditional lunch, arts and craft.  Also to see on this trip is the world known rock art of Nukain Mabuza

Package 3  -  Cradle of Life goes to Msauli, the abandoned mining town in the heart of the Makhonjwa Mountains where you enjoy a picnic and then we go to Songimvelo Nature reserve where you will see Rooihartbees, Eland, Rhino, Giraffe, Zebra and possably some Elephant. Birdlife is abundant, you might even see some rare Blue Swallows as well.

Gold Panning and underground mining tour is a must.

Not to mention the 4x4 trip to Eureka City and the quad bike adventures (eco friendly).  Chimp Eden (Jane Goodall Institute) is also an option.

So PLEASE do not use Barberton as a stop over, but rather as your next destination.

Directions

Coming in from the R40 from Nelspruit take the first Barberton turn-in. That will be General Street. Carry on until you get to the second robot where the Ford Dealer is, that is Bland Street. Turn left, and then right into the first street, that is Menton Street. We are the 3rd house on the right, a green house.
