Caravan Park

The 4-star rated caravan park consists of only 30 exclusive stands making the Estate delightfully quiet and peaceful!

Ablution facilities are of the highest standards, just as everything else on the Estate. Two disabled bathrooms are also available. Each stand is paved and consists of its own braai, fire pit, tap and extra working area to ensure your comfort! A 200m² swimming pool will cool you down in even the harshest Lowveld heat! Situated inside the caravan park your children will be able to enjoy the large grassy areas and the pool while you can still keep a watchful eye over them!

Lodges

 Accommodation is of the highest standards. The luxury 4, 6 and 8-sleeper lodges are luxurious and comfortable and guests will feel right at home. The lodges are fully self catering with a braai area. The peaceful surroundings are accentuated by the free roaming wildlife… You can expect to see rhino, buffalo as well as all the smaller antelope! The Estate is also a bird lovers dream come true!

Attractions

While taking a relaxing game drive on your own, you can expect to see game such as Rhino, Buffalo, Giraffe and many more buck species. The Estate is also a bird lover’s paradise.

Hoedspruit is in the centre of Big 5 area, with Kruger National Park Orpen Gate and Phalaborwa Gate respectively 71km and 74km away.

Wildlife Activities in the Hoedspruit area:

The Hoedspruit Cheetah Breeding Project is only 18km away, the Mholoholo Rehabilitation Center at Kampersrus 28km away and the Swadini Snake Park is 16km away.

Elephant Back Safaris:

At Kapama Game Reserve, half day Elephant Back Safaris can be undertaken.

Scenic routes:

From Hoedspruit, the Panorama Route is easily accessible with sights such as the Three Rondavels, Blyde River Canyon (which is the third largest canyon in the world), Bourke’s Luck Potholes, God’s Window, World’s view, The Pinnacle, Lisbon Falls, Berlin Falls and the Graskop Gorge all within one and a half hour’s drive time from the Estate.

The town of Sabie, where one can visit the Mac Mac falls, Mac Mac Pools, Horseshoe Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and Lone Creek Falls, is 173km away with romantic old world Pilgrim’s Rest, one of the first mining towns in the area, merely 150km away from the Estate.

Water activities:

The Klaserie Dam where fishing and boating can be undertaken, is a mere 35km from Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate. On the Blydepoort Dam game viewing excursions can be undertaken through registered Tour Operators. For the more adventurous, white river rafting can be undertaken on the Blyde River, in the Canyon or in the Olifants Gorge next to the Abel Erasmus Pass. Canoe trips can be undertaken on the calmer waters of the Blyde River below the Blydepoort Dam and on the Olifants River. A scenic game viewing and sundowner’s boat cruise can be undertaken on the Olifants River close to Phalaborwa.

Golfing:

At Hoedspruit, the Drakensig Golf Club, which overlooks the picturesque Drakensberg Mountains, boasts a 9-hole course. The famous Hans Merensky Golf Course is situated at Phalaborwa, which is 75km away. This 18-hole course, where animals have the right of way, is situated on the edge of the Kruger National Park.

The unique décor of the restaurant and bar combined with excellent service and delicious meals will have you coming back to the Estate time after time. A lounge and cocktail bar also forms part of the restaurant and what better way to end of the evening than sipping on a cognac and enjoying an imported cigar?
