Amukela is located in the Balule Nature Reserve, 20 minutes from Hoedspruit.

Enjoy typical african meals such as braai, bobotie and potjiekos. Relax during the day at our pool with a view on the waterhole.

Amukela is an exclusive lodge with 4 African-style rondawels. All rondawels have a king-size bed, mosquito-net and air-conditioning. The en-suite bathroom has a toilet, shower and basin.

Listen to the voices of the African bush when night falls. Watch the planets and stars through the 10" Dobsonian telescope on the stardeck. Game-drives and bushwalks can be booked (pre-booking is advised).
 

Accommodation:
Amukela is an exclusive lodge, with 4 en-suite African style rondawels, each with aircon and king size bed with a mosquito net. There is a spacious area where breakfast is served, and also a lounge with lots of books, magazines and maps. The ablution block is in close range of the bar and pool.

Location:
Amukela is situated in the "Big 5" Balule Private Nature Reserve, which also hosts cheetah's and wild dogs. Located on the east-side of the R40 between Hoedspruit and Mica, you'll find our lodge. Deep in the heart of the African bushveld, in Big-5 country.

Attractions

Amukela Game Lodge is built on a dry riverbed, overlooking a waterhole where game come and go all day long. By day you can relax at the pool with an open view of the bushveld. By night you can often see the bright evening sky and all you will hear are the sounds of the bush. Listen closely to the sounds of African wildlife such as Lion, Hyena or the cunning Jackal. A maximum of 8 people can be accommodated at this Balule game lodge, which ensures exclusivity and privacy.

Guests staying at this Bablule game lodge can look forward to interacting with Elephant up close during an Elephant back safari conducted on the Kapama Private Reserve. Alternatively, visit the nearby wildlife attractions including the Khamai Reptile Park, Kapama Cheetah Breeding Project, the While Lion Breeding Centre and the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre.

Search for South Africa's Big Five (Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Rhino and Elephant during an exciting game drive through the African bush. Look forward to a guided walking safari where guests will be able to see the bush up close.

Guests can also enjoy game viewing from the comfort of the Balule lodge. The waterhole at Amukela Game Lodge is ideal for viewing thirsty African wildlife coming to drink. During the evenings, the waterhole is lighted with a spotlight. The Balule game lodge is gully fenced, ensuring guests can view game is safety.
