Amukela is located in the Balule Nature Reserve, 20 minutes from Hoedspruit. Enjoy typical african meals such as braai, bobotie and potjiekos. Relax during the day at our pool with a view on the waterhole. Amukela is an exclusive lodge with 4 African-style rondawels. All rondawels have a king-size bed, mosquito-net and air-conditioning. The en-suite bathroom has a toilet, shower and basin. Listen to the voices of the African bush when night falls. Watch the planets and stars through the 10" Dobsonian telescope on the stardeck. Game-drives and bushwalks can be booked (pre-booking is advised). Accommodation: Amukela is an exclusive lodge, with 4 en-suite African style rondawels, each with aircon and king size bed with a mosquito net. There is a spacious area where breakfast is served, and also a lounge with lots of books, magazines and maps. The ablution block is in close range of the bar and pool. Location: Amukela is situated in the "Big 5" Balule Private Nature Reserve, which also hosts cheetah's and wild dogs. DirectionsDirections from Johannesburg:
From Johannesburg, take the N4 towards Witbank. At Belfast, leave the highway and take the R540 to Lydenburg. The shortest way to Amukela Game Lodge is via Dullstroom and Origstad. Alternatively, take the scenic route through Graskop.
Travel through the Strydom Tunnel to Hoedspruit. Continue along the Main Road in Hoedspruit until you reach a 4-way stop. Turn left towards Phalaborwa. Travel the 16km (9.94 miles) to the main gate of Balule National Park. |
