We source all our caddies from the previously disadvantaged community. Presently, about 30 caddies earn income from the club. Employment A staff of ten are currently employed by the club. History Belfast Golf Club has grown from one of the smallest clubs to the 5th biggest Club in the Highveld Region. The club participates in all the regional competitions and over the years has performed very well, as is proven by all the trophies and awards on display in the club. The Future The Belfast Golf Club intends to take the next Big Step in the development of the Club. - Improving the course
- Renovating and improving the Club House facilities to include a restaurant.
- Establishing a driving range
- Development of weekend accommodation
- Consolidation of all Sports Activities under one Management Forum.
- Provision of holiday homes on the course. The property is suitable to develop approximately 200 houses around the vlei and forest area.
Tourism: Belfast is the only town in the Highlands with a public golf course. Golf as a tourist attraction has increased by 60 % from the previous year.
